The N hybrid project was about 6 months in the making. It is a 14 foot airframe made from 7.5 phenolic tubing, weighing in at 51 pounds without N20. After a 1 1/2 minute fill, it jumped off the pad on a column of smoke! It deployed it's drogue at the 7093 foot apogee, and popped the 15 foot surplus cargo chute at about 1000 feet. Though the deployment was optimal, the main chute tore a small zipper as the airframe swung around. With the certification of an M(N) 2200, the era of only long burn low thrust hybrids will be over!!
