Poker Flat Research Range Hybrid Rocket Launches
FLIGHT #1: Fiberglassed 80" long by 3.2" dia LOC
Precision Laserloc 3.1 rocket kit. The stock 72" kit was stretched by 8"
for the payload section for a 9' cross parachute and accelerometer payload board.
Rocket used I312 hybrid rocket motor. The 3.2" dia, 12.6 lb rocket flew
approximately 560' with Emmanuel IAX-96 integrating accelerometer to record the flight
details.

FLIGHT #2: Randy Thomas giving scale to 3.2 in dia fiberglassed
Laserloc rocket modified once again to a length of 94 in (stock 72 in Laserloc 3.1 kit
stretched by 22 in) ready to launch at Poker Flat Research Range using a Hypertek J250
hybrid rocket motor. The 9 lb Rocket flew to approximately 2152 ft and deployed a 6
ft Paratech Parachutes cross parachute, using an Emmanuel Avionics IAX-96 integrating
accelerometer on March 18, 1999
