Always test your basic fill/fire launch control system before attempting to launch a rocket!

First check to see if the N2O and GOX solenoids are working properly and that your GOX is at about 90PSI. Turn the rotary switch on the launch control box to "Fill" and push the activation toggle. A cloud of N2O should blow through the center coaxial tube. Now attach a small piece of igniter wire to the leads off the ignition module. DO NOT ATTACH THE IGNITOR WIRE TO THE FILL STEM! Turn the rotary switch on the launch control box to "Fire" and push the activation switch and you should hear the oxygen flowing from the outer fill tube. Check to ensure the igniter wire arced, the insulation will be burned, and that the GOX pressure gauge reads about 90PSI.

Secure, with zip tie, a fully assembled 440cc motor system with fuel grain onto the launch stem assembly. DO NOT INSTALL AN IGNITOR WIRE! Turn the rotary switch on the launch control box to "Fill" and push the activation switch and fill with N2O for about 5 to 10 seconds and stop. Lock out your launch control box and walk to the launch pad to check for any leaks in the N2O lines. If there is a leak you will see the N2O vapor. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR LEAKS AT THIS TIME! After checking for leaks go back and turn your rotary switch on the launch control box to "Dump" and push the activation switch. The N2O should dump out the dump solenoid in the N2O solenoid assembly. When the 440cc motor system is empty go forward and fix any leaks you detected. Repeat the fill process to ensure the leak is repaired. Dump again and then remove 440cc motor system and you are ready for launching!

This entire test only takes about 5 minutes.
